Our History

Dome Chartering & Trading Corp (DCT) offers commercial management services for investment interests and ship owners as well as dry cargo chartering for clients.  With over two decades of international commercial management experience, Dome has the experience and expertise necessary to manage commercial vessels and projects of all sizes around the world.

Our diversity of experience in brokering dry cargo ships (including Jones Act and cargo preference compliant brokerage services), and providing commercial management services, as well as our proven track record, ensures that Dome Chartering & Trading will competently and safely manage your next project.


Our Services

Dome’s expertise lies in bulk and break bulk dry cargoes moving in the Americas, Western Europe, Mediterranean and Black Seas, Africa and the Far East.  We specialize in Jones Act brokerage services for dry cargo on the East and West Coast of the United States. In addition, we have extensive experience providing ship brokering services for specialized cargo, hazardous materials such as IMO and appendix B cargoes, and explosive/flammable and breakbulk – heavy lift cargoes, including ammunition all IMO1.1 up. Dome is the exclusive booking agent with regular service to Ascension, Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), the Caribbean and Africa.

In addition, Dome is proud to offer a full range of commercial management services including COA negotiations, Port Captains and Stow plans as well as final hire and freight calculations.
